We divided intermediate vision into two groups: near-intermediate (at 65 cm, more or less the distance of the screen on a computer) and far-intermediate (at 95 cm, more of less the distance of a person who is at the other side of your table).

Laser monovision achieved the best intermediate vision (logMAR 0,13 for near-intermediate and 0,1 for far-intermediate), followed by Finevision trifocal (logMAR 0,16 for near-intermediate and 0,13 for far-intermediate). The three bifocal intraocular lenses provided very similar near-intermediate vision (0,28-0,29- and 0,28 respectively) and the combination of ReStor +2,5/+3 was slightly better than the others for far-intermediate vision (0,22 vs 0,26 both the other bifocal).

This study will be presented by Dr Esther Santos MD at the XXXIII Congres of the ESCRS to be hold in Barcelona, 5-9 September 2015; and have as co-authors Dr Jose R Villada MD MRCOphth, Julian Tendero OD and Chelo LLedo RGN OND.

We have compared the intermediate vision obtained by five different presbyopia correction methods: lens exchange and implantation of Acri.LISA bifocal intraocular lens, lens exchange and implantation of ReSTOR +3 bifocal intraocular lens, lens exchange and implantation of ReSTOR +2,5 in the dominant eye and ReSTOR +3 in the non-dominant eye bifocal intraocular lenses, lens exchange and implantation of […]

[3

post-302","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-blog
["GET
